Financial Aid Options at Boulder Digital Arts
We strive to make our programs affordable as part of our mission of empowering creative and digital professionals. However, we realize that sometimes you need some extra help. We offer three types of financial assistance.
- No-Interest Payment Plans (click to read)
BDA offers simple no-interest payment plans for most of our Certificate Program or any group of classes whose registration fees total $400 or more. We call these "bundles" and can be any combination of Hands-On Classes or Lecture-Style Workshops. By breaking the total cost down of an Certificate Program or "bundle" into two or four equal payments, we are able to make our training programs even more accessible without breaking the bank.
We have two payment plans, based on the total cost of the class you've chosen:
- For classes that are $400 - $998, each of the two payments is simply 50% of the total cost of the Certificate Program or "bundle" with no finance charges or other costs. BDA membership is required to obtain a payment plan. Click here to learn about membership. The first payment will be taken at the time of registration and the remaining payments are paid once a month until the balance is paid.
- For classes that are $999+, each of the four payments is simply 25% of the total cost of the Certificate Program or "bundle" with no finance charges or other costs. BDA membership is required to obtain a payment plan. Click here to learn about membership. The first payment will be taken at the time of registration and the remaining payments are paid once a month until the balance is paid.
It's easy to take advantage of this option and we encourage you to sign up early since these programs often fill up fast! If you're interested in having a Payment Plan, don't register for the class online. Instead, simply contact BDA staff at 303-800-4647 or email us with the name and start date of the Certificate Program or the list of classes and workshops you are "bundling" and we'll get you set-up, take your first payment, and confirm your registration!
Important Things to Note: Registrants using the payment plan are not eligible to combine discount offers with their payment plan and always pay the standard registration fee for BDA Members. Please see our refund, cancellation and transfer policy page.
- Scholarships (click to read)
Since 2004, thousands of people have benefited from professional and affordable training. As a way of saying thanks to this amazing community, BDA likes to give back by offering frequent free registrations to our three-hour, lecture-style workshops to people who might otherwise not be able to afford it.
BDA Classes Can Help You
- Add skills to help your resume stand out.
- Learn new skills to be able to expand your offerings to your customers.
- Expand into new fields in the creative digital arts, business, and entrepreneurship.
The majority of BDA workshops are held on a single evening, from 6pm to 9pm. We firmly believe that 3 hours can change a life! That is why we are committed to setting aside a number of registrations for nearly every event. And just to be clear, these scholarships, when awarded, are only available towards our 3-hour lecture-style workshops. We strongly believe that money should never be an obstacle to making one's life better.
How To Apply
All applications will be evaluated by our scholarship committee which is composed of members of BDA staff, along with volunteer members of the community. Scholarships are good towards all of BDA's regular lecture-style three-hour workshops, and are awarded based on financial need along with strength of motivation. Excerpts from responses might be used for BDA promotional purposes but will remain anonymous. Once you apply, you'll receive an automated confirmation email and will be notified if you were granted a scholarship within 15 days of your application. Due to the processing time of reviewing applications, please make sure the class you are applying to take is being held at least two weeks from today's date. Scholarship Awards are non-transferable.

Get Federal Funding To Take BDA Classes!
Learn About The Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act Grant (WIOA, formerly WIA)
Boulder Digital Arts is proud to be an authorized training provider for the federally-funded Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act Grant training program . The WIOA is designed to help job seekers prepare for employment, find and keep a job, and increase earnings. According to the United States Department of Labor, the WIOA was created "to consolidate, coordinate, and improve employment, training, literacy and vocational rehabilitation programs in the United States." The WIOA has many guidelines as to who is eligible to receive benefits, and some of these guidelines may change depending on the state and county in which you reside.
Through the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act, you may be able to receive funding to take BDA's Certificate Programs, as well as many approved WIOA classes and workshops. Applying to WIOA takes time and energy, but it's possible that if you meet their requirements, you could receive up to $5,000 towards classes and workshops at BDA!
How It Works
BDA is here to help! In fact, we offer free 30-minute consultations on how to get funding through WIOA and which of our programs are best for your career goals! To schedule a no-obligation free 30 minute consultation at BDA about WIOA funding, please email us or call 303-800-4647!
Getting funding through the WIOA program can take weeks or even months, so please be sure when applying to WIOA that you give your application plenty of time to be processed by them. After your free consultation with BDA you should contact your local workforce center to begin the application process. WIOA funding is managed through the local office in the county in which you live. In addition, you can find complete information about the WIOA program here. Most of our training programs have already been approved and are on the Colorado Eligible Training Provider List (ETPL).
