I have 3+ years assisting photographers in the Boulder area, enthusiastically serving several different functions to the photographer:

PHOTOGRAPHY PRODUCER

I'm coming from a commercial photography background as a Photography Producer/Studio Manager for clients such as Microsoft, Best Buy, Burger King, Old Navy, American Express and Domino's Pizza. I can manage your photo shoot by estimating the cost of your project, planning milestones, scheduling dates, hiring other crew members (local and non-local assistants, scouts, stylists, talent reps, etc.) working as a liaison to your clients and crew creating pre-production books renting equipment, creating/managing releases and any other miscellaneous task that pops up as a need to make a shoot happen.

I have experience with extremely tight deadlines and shoots of all types, including product photography, editorial, architectural, conceptual, still life, sports and more.

PHOTOGRAPHY ASSISTANT

I'm familiar with studio lighting including Dyna-lite and Profoto lights, using modifiers, achieving a variety of different lighting styles, setting up backgrounds, and working outdoors with ambient, strobes and flashes. I have assisted in tight spaces and wide spaces, in homes, stores, buildings, parks, on mountains, hilltops, and farms and feel comfortable setting up lighting just about anywhere.

I have reliable transportation with a vehicle that can carry a lot of equipment (lights, stands, modifiers, ladders, carts, computer equipment, etc.) and I have experience renting and picking up equipment from local and non-local vendors.

DIGITAL TECH

I have Studio and location experience managing files while the photographer shoots tethered to a digital station. I'm most comfortable with Lightroom, but I have been able to navigate through CaptureOne and Bridge on the fly. I have worked the program for clients and been able to discuss and show them their options on site. I'm extremely organized, can work on any rating system that the photographer is comfortable with and can setup Presets and metadata before and/or during the shoot. I'm also comfortable doing basic retouching in Photoshop (CS5).

At hard cost, I can pull together a digi tech station including a laptop with necessary software, display monitor, backup hard drives and screen hood on a portable cart.



I take direction well, am very agreeable, flexible, and can offer suggestions and recommendations if allowed to do so.
