I'm a programmer, database administrator, and UI/usability architect.

My perfect project is a 1-4 person job creating a data-centric web application that simplifies the lives of its users. My billing/invoice system and task tracking system are tools I use all the time. Some of my best web sites practically run themselves with the help of programming and databases: Movie Habit, International Film Series, and the Boulder International Film Festival's tracking database.

I'm an expert at PHP and JavaScript (object-oriented, natch), HTML, and CSS. I'm very strong in jQuery and database design using MySql and Access. I am competent at other web technologies such as Ruby, ASP.NET, ColdFusion, and derived frameworks such as CodeIgniter and Symfony. I'm also an Apple iOS developer with an app in the app store.

I prefer to work on a project _with_ professional graphic designers (and not _as_ the project's graphic designer).
