Founded in 2006, the Boulder Filmmaking Incubator is a leader in producing independent movies… from short films to feature length… from narratives to documentaries… and winning numerous awards along the way.

As a reliable resource for Independent and Emergent filmmakers in Colorado, the Boulder Filmmaking Incubator provides an environment where people from all disciplines of filmmaking can meet to share experiences, problem solve, bounce around ideas, and cooperate to make their films a reality. Our members find that the opportunity to network and collaborate can be invaluable in helping a project reach its highest level of quality.

Working on your own projects? You can screen your work at our monthly meetings. Want to work on a project? Network with other filmmakers to get on board. Are you a cinematographer who would like to learn more about the inner workings of Hollywood?  Are you great with a camera and want to learn how to make it to the top?  Or do you just want a behind the scenes peek at filmmaking?  If so, don't miss the June 7 Boulder Filmmaking Incubator meeting!Cinematographer, Michael Watson, will speak about the journey of learning the craft of cinematographer working his way up from camera assistant to DP.  He will share what it is like to work with award winning cinematographers such as Claudio Miranda ("The Curious Case Of Benjamin Button", and "Life Of Pi"), Amir Mokri ("Bad Boys II"), and Daniel Pearl ( numerous music videos and television commercials.)

BDA strives to empower the creative community in Colorado, so we're happy to host a wide range of relevant meetups, user groups and other community events. Though Boulder Digital Arts is not involved in this event in any way, we are happy to host it at our Arapahoe Studio. We offer it to relevant community groups throughout the year at no charge.
