Description:
This course will go beyond the "101 basics" of on-page SEO and look
at some of the more technical and intermediate-level issues you will
encounter when trying to promote a website in a competitive niche. Topics
will include: • Advanced Google search operators • Using
meta tags and robots.txt to control robots • PageRank sculpting or
"siloing" with nofollow links • Common SEO architecture issues •
Redirecting and moving pages • Duplicate content and
canonicalization (linking) issues • Digging into Google Webmaster
Tools • Grey / blackhat SEO techniques your competitors might  be
using • Advanced link building techniques • and MUCH

Presented as a Lecture-Style Workshop:
These are our most affordable training programs, designed to introduce a subject quickly and efficiently. Students can take notes from the instructor's projected computer screen, and/or bring their own computer to follow along. Lecture-style workshops are normally held on weekday evenings from 6 pm – 9 pm and contain a maximum of 30 students (average is 8-20).
Who Should Take This:
Students who have a basic grasp of HTML, FTP and web server technology. SEO knowledge as covered in our Introduction to Search Engine Optimization workshop is highly recommended.
