Secrets of Superior Composition in Photography

Characteristics Of This Class:

A solid grasp of composition gives you power and versatility as a photographer, and it makes photography a lot more fun!

Strong composition is important across all genres of photography. Done well, effective composition adds impact and clarity to the viewer's experience and makes your photography more memorable.

This workshop will introduce the rules of composition and explore the foundation of composition.

This workshop will cover:

  • The "rules" of composition (e.g., rule of thirds, leading lines, repetition, scale, juxtaposition, etc.)
  • The building blocks of composition
  • How to "see" compositionally
  • A five step process for better photography

Who Should Take This:

Beginning to intermediate photographers who want to take better pictures, especially if you're not sure what's missing! You should take the Hands-On Introduction to Digital Photography first if you're not fully comfortable with the manual settings on your camera.
