In order to win the game 2048, players must maneuver numbered tiles and combine them in such a way that they form a tile with a value of 2048. Every turn adds a new tile to the board, and the only way to combine tiles is if they have the same number. The game is over as soon as all of the spaces on the board have been occupied and no additional tiles can be combined.
