Deborah Fryer is also an award-winning writer: she won 1st place in the 2004 and 2005 Moondance Film Festival Short Story contest and was selected as one of the Best Travel Writers of 2005 and 2006 by Travelers' Tales.
She has lived and worked in 37 countries, holds a Ph.D. in Comparative Literature and Classics, and is a certified scuba diver and yoga instructor.
