bet9ja.com
Kwara United, one of Nigeria’s two representatives in the 2025/26 CAF Confederation Cup, have strengthened their Harmony Boys squad with six fresh signings.

The Ilorin-based side are not done yet, as two more potential recruits remain under close evaluation. These reinforcements are aimed at ensuring the club makes a competitive statement on the continental stage.
The new faces are expected to blend quickly into Head Coach Tunde Sanni’s plans as the season approaches, with the club already in the midst of intensive pre-season training sessions.
We welcome Kwara United’s proactive approach to building a squad that can stand tall in the CAF Confederation Cup. Too often, Nigerian teams have entered continental competitions underprepared, relying on grit instead of depth and tactical flexibility. This time, the Harmony Boys appear determined to change that script.

Adding six players before the season even kicks off signals ambition and forward thinking. If the two additional targets join, it could give the club a squad deep enough to handle both domestic and continental commitments. This is exactly the mindset Nigerian clubs need to compete effectively beyond our borders.
We must also consider the importance of cohesion. Signings on paper don’t automatically translate to success; integration and clarity of roles are just as critical. With Sanni at the helm and a strong pre-season in motion, Kwara United have the opportunity to make a in Africa and we believe they should seize it without hesitation.

The CAF Confederation Cup was first staged in 2004, merging the CAF Cup and African Cup Winners’ Cup.

Kwara United earned their spot in the competition after winning their first-ever President Federation Cup in 2025.

The Harmony Boys were founded in 1974 and initially played as Kwara Water Corporation Football Club.

Only four Nigerian clubs have ever won the CAF Confederation Cup since its inception.

Ilorin Township Stadium, Kwara United’s home ground, has a capacity of roughly 18,000 spectators.
