A Practical Introduction to User Experience Design
What You'll Learn
This three-hour workshop will introduce you to the key concepts of user experience design (UXD) through a fun and highly experiential set of exercises.
You'll learn first why UX is critical to the success of any product, and then learn the tools of the trade as put into daily use at a leading user experience firm. The UX Market study, persona's, wireframes and user testing will all be discussed and then put into practice as the class re-designs and re-develops two common mobile apps.
The exercises will include:
- UX design overview
- Assigning UX tasks in a group
- Brainstorming improvements to a common mobile app
- Wire-framing
- Live user testing
- Final design mock-ups
